Air Rifle: We sponsor youth air rifle training every year, usually beginning in January. The training meets once a week for a period of five weeks from 6:00-7:30PM. This program is designed to provide safety and marksmanship training to children ages 8-18. The training consists of basic rifle anatomy and function, safety practices and range procedures, shooting techniques and positions, sight picture and marksmanship skills. We train on NRA recommended and supplied equipment and use fully trained NRA instructors. There is a modest fee associated with this program and it provides for the insurance required and includes a junior membership to the club for that membership year. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must accompany all participants at every training event. This is to help maintain good order and discipline of the participants.
